Sounds pretty much like the trend in any other modern big city...
Change the Castro and Renuar (Whatever it is) with Armani and Gucci. Change the scooters with Bentley and Mercedes, the Crocs with Prada, The Shabbat night with every night, the breakfast in a fance cafe with a classic diner and all of the conversation topics with the one topic of how to make / spend more money... and you got yourself in the world's greatest city...
